DA LANGUAGES LTD (“We”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

We rely on legitimate interest as the lawful basis for collecting and using your personal information.

Our legitimate interests are follow up on your enquiy and either provide you with support or information about our services relevant to your needs

We will keep this information until:

–       Non-customers: data will be stored for 60 days

–       Customers: data will be stored in line with our contractual retention period

–       Linguists: data will be stored until you or DA Languages close your account.

Google Analytics

–       What device are you currently on

–       Where they are located

The data is collected by Google Analytics via their in built service, which anonymises the personal data at point of collection.

This data will be used to understand how users are currently using the website and how they came to viewing (i.e. marketing campaigns, adverts etc)

We rely on legitimate interest as the lawful basis for collecting and using your anonymised personal information.

Data is collected by Zymplify on behalf of the company by their inbuilt service.

This data will be used to marketing and lead generation to help facilitate the user doing business with DA Languages

We rely on legitimate interest as the lawful basis for collecting and using your personal information.

Disclosure of your information

We may share your personal information with any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006.

We may share your information with selected third parties including:

  • Business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter into with them or you.
  • Analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our site.
  • Credit reference agencies for the purpose of assessing your credit score where this is a condition of us entering into a contract with you.

Where we store your personal data

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the UK and/or European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the UK and/or EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things,  the fulfilment of your order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted TLSv1.2 Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Please be aware that all requests will be responded to within 30 days unless there is a reasonable reason for extension. For SAR’s requests please note that these are free of charge however a fee may be applied for additional copies or if the request for information is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
