DA Languages has been awarded a notable interpreting and translation contract from the South West police region.
The contract will see DA Languages offer its services to five forces: Dorset Police, Gloucestershire Constabulary, Wiltshire Police, Avon & Somerset Police and Devon & Cornwall Police. This marks the first time a language service provider (LSP) has been appointed by the whole South West police region.
DA Languages will be supporting police officers and staff by reducing language barriers in all engagement with limited and non-English speakers (including BSL) through remote interpreting (telephone and video), face-to-face interpreting and written translation services wherever needed.
We’re delighted to be supporting the South West police forces and their local communities with language service support. Clear, straightforward communication is essential in policing and DA Languages will be working closely with the five forces wherever language services are required, whether it be the translation of statements or interpreting at interviews.
