Internal Recruitment Assistant

Role summary

Full time, Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm

Start date: ASAP

Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum, dependent on experience

So what exactly do we do?

We offer language services to organisations within the public and private sector.

So what does that mean? Imagine if you couldn’t speak English but needed to go to a hospital appointment, you wouldn’t be able to access this service unless someone attends with you to interpret between you and the doctor.

That’s where we come in… the hospital would contact us and ask for an interpreter. We would then contact the right interpreter for the job and send them to that appointment.

We offer face to face interpreting, video interpreting and telephone interpreting for this scenario, so that appointments can be delivered on site or remotely.

As well as this, we offer translation, so if there is any written correspondence we will translate that into the right language too.

Purpose of the role

Due to recent expansion and intended growth plans, DA Languages is looking for an internal recruiter to own and manage the recruitment of internal staff, across all areas of the business.

Posting job adverts online and working with the Marketing Team to promote internal vacancies

Vetting CVs from applicants, arranging & conducting telephone interviews with potential candidates

Where required, head hunting candidates that would be suitable for the roles we have available

Arranging, and sometimes conducting face to face interviews with the support of other managers

Supporting the HR Team to onboard new members of staff

Working with the HR & Operations Teams to plan for future increases in recruitment needs

Working with local agencies, such as Trafford Council, UA92 and Connextions to promote our vacancies through other channels such as job fairs or talks with local schools and colleges

To be an advocate for our internal apprenticeship scheme by promoting this to local schools and colleges and arranging events to engage with them about apprenticeship opportunities

Arranging open evening or other events to promote the roles we have in the business

Administration activities relating to recruitment


  • Minimum one year experience within a recruitment role
  • Understanding of recruitment strategies/initiatives to help advertise roles
  • Experience of using job boards such as Indeed and CV Library
  • Experience of vetting CVs and conducting interviews for varying roles
  • Have great communication skills and the confidence to build a rapport and talk about our business/available roles when speaking to potential candidates
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced organisation and to your own initiative
  • Ability to multitask and manage different priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially working with key stakeholders inside and outside the business
  • Experience of organising recruitment events or working with external agencies is desirable, but not essential
