Apprentice Translation Support Assistant

Role summary

Due to recent expansion and intended growth plans, DA Languages is looking to add an apprentice translation support assistant to support the growth of our translation department.

Responsibilities

  • Handling incoming customer queries and providing quotes to customers
  • Chasing clients over the phone and by email for outstanding requests.
  • Tracking requests and reporting back to project managers when confirmation or cancellations are received.
  • Quality assessing transcripts to check style guides have been adhered to and to pick up any inaudible sections.
  • Deletion of old jobs from the system according to client retention periods.

  • Keen to learn about the translation department and how this role can support its growth
  • Attention to detail
  • Organisation and time management to keep track of clients’ requests
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and project managers
  • Have an interest to develop your knowledge in the language industry
  • Be able to work under own initiative in a pro-active manner
  • Desirable: Welsh-speaking to a native/almost native level
