Booking Coordinator (Customer Service Adviser) required for a busy language service agency based in South Manchester.

First established in 1998, DA Languages Ltd. has established a prominent reputation in the Interpreting & Translation industry; we deliver our quality services to clients in both the Public and Private sectors, all across the UK.

In the last few years we’ve witnessed significant growth and with this in mind, we are currently recruiting Booking Coordinator to join our in-house team.

We’re excited to be expanding; could it be you that joins us?

We work with thousands of freelance linguists from across the UK; they enable us to cover 450+ languages and dialects to clients, who include:

  • Local Governments,
  • Social & Healthcare Agencies,
  • NHS Trusts,
  • Law Firms,
  • The Police,
  • Schools, and more!

We are extremely proud of the services that we provide, and of the trust that our clients place in us to deliver quality, consistently.

We want you to help us to continue delivering quality.

The Role

The role of our Booking Co-ordinators, in a nutshell, is to assist in the day-to-day organisation and management of our client’s booking requests. These requests primarily include Face-to-Face and Telephone Interpreting, but also Translation based assignments.

This role would see you take on a number of responsibilities from Day 1. You’d find yourself working with clients via email and telephone, as well as making use of our innovative DA Link Portal: a web-based programme that we use to manage our services.

You’ll work closely with members of our team who will provide you with full training, cover our policies, and provide on-going support. The role can often be challenging, but it’s also highly rewarding!

Our office is based in the lovely Modern Market Town of Altrincham; within, you’ll find a friendly, diverse, and welcoming place. However, this is counterbalanced by a busy environment that requires determination and a hard-working attitude. We value individuals who possess a strong work-ethic and sense of community, but who also carry themselves with confidence and professionalism.

The role is full-time, 9am-5.30pm, with a £15-17k starting salary, depending on experience, with an annual review. Previous office and/or customer service experience is preferred, but not required.

What we require:

  • Capable multi-tasker,
  • Confident telephone manner,
  • Works well under-pressure,
  • Good memory skills,
  • Quality negotiation skills,
  • Familiarity with Office software; especially Microsoft Outlook,
  • A great communicator who takes pride in completing tasks to a high standard.

Your main duties are varied and include:

  • Liaising with clients to arrange interpreting assignments and booking interpreters for these jobs,
  • Showing great telephone etiquette and customer care,
  • Ensuring an interpreter is present for every booking possible,
  • Building a rapport with clients and interpreters to cement ongoing working relationships,
  • Great organisational skills and understanding of the need for flexibility,
  • Efficiently managing incoming and outgoing calls, as well as swift and accurate responses to email.

If you think you match the description above and can bring enthusiasm, tenacity, and a professional approach to work, then send your CV and Cover Letter to info@dalanguages.co.uk.

We look forward to hearing from you!
