DA Languages have had a fantastic year to date and have expanded rapidly.  We have just received a private equity investment to accelerate growth and we are now expanding even more and moving our main office to the very popular area of Old Trafford. Due to expansion and the upcoming of new contracts we are currently looking for an Administrative Assistant to assist in continuing to expand an already successful administrative team.

DA Languages is a South Manchester based Interpreting and Translation agency. Since being established in 1998 the company has grown in size and reputation; we are now a trusted language provider for a range of clients across the UK. DA Languages work with over 10,000 native linguists and offer language services in over 450 languages and dialects. We work with clients including local governments, the police and the NHS. About the Role

Full time

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm

Start date: ASAP

Salary: £15,000 -£17,000 per year

We require a highly organised and proactive individual who can multi-task and use initiative daily, working closely with the Office manager and Administration Manager to make sure tasks are completed to deadlines. Communication is key.

This role will oversee numerous responsibilities which is providing a helping hand as well as a support role to the administration team when cover is required. The individual requires a keen eye to detail and a mature work ethic to oversee all tasks can be completed to deadline to a high standard.

Taking on operational and administrative workflow, a knowledge within the administration field is preferable, holding an understanding of how quickly duties can change daily. You will provide effective communication and support, setting high standards to help achieve excellence within your role and across the Company.

The role will require an ability to prioritise a varied workload and problem solve. It is essential that you also have a good telephone manner and can communicate professionally at all times.

     The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • A proven record in delivering high standards and results in an administration environment
  • Skilled Call Handling
  • Keen eye to detail
  • Reactive and proactive attitude with regards to problem solving and forward planning.
  • Sound knowledge of IT based programmes and software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook and in-house systems.
  • Sound knowledge of IT troubleshooting and basic set up of equipment and emails

        Main Duties Will Include

  • Dealing with day-to-day queries
  • Using in house system
  • Managing and handling confidential data
  • General administrative support for the department manager and admin team
  • Creating reports, logging data and keeping documents up to date
  • Assisting in the set up and arrival of new employees
  • Monitoring and set up of email accounts
  • Monitoring and provide support to admin team in the Admin Managers absence
  • Arranging annual services, meetings and general adhoc duties for management
  • Working on our in-house system, making updates to client and employee profiles
  • devising and maintaining office systems, including data management and filing;
  • organising and maintaining diaries and making appointmentsSkills and experience required
  • High level of IT literacy – previous work experience preferred but not necessary as training will be provided
  • Ability to take instruction and carry out tasks efficiently and to a high standard
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Good knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Working closely with Managers in other departments to achieve results
  • Work as part of a team and independently
  • Good time keeping
  • Previous experience as an administrator is essential for this role
